To The Nominating Committee:

I bring you greetings from the Episcopal Church in Mississippi and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church (my home church).  My purpose for entering as a candidate for the National Episcopal church women board is because I continue to feel that I can help make a difference in serving and representing all the women of the episcopal church.  This is not new to me because I have served on the board before.  The experience of communicating and working with women all over the country is spiritually rewarding. It’s an experience that makes you feel that we as women are representing God’s work as one body in Christ. The mutual respect and focus are all the same.

When you study the women of the bible you will notice that there were a lot of wisdom and energy.  One of my favorite stories is about Ruth and Naomi.  Their relationship grew overtime and they leaned on each other for strength.  I see the national episcopal church women board as a group growing in wisdom and strength to represent all the women of the episcopal church.

I have read the duties and obligations as outline by the national board.  I feel that I can carry out all responsibilities with God’s help and my knowledge.

I look forward to being nominated and becoming a part of the next triennial team.

Yours in Christ,

Mrs. Gloria Rogers
