I have a varied background of working with youth, schools, strategic planning for the school district, working in male dominated profession, PTA leadership, Scouting, and …. My heart is for social justice and while I focus on how the environment impacts various issues, I believe that it is all interconnected. When we can learn to listen we can change the world.

As a lifelong environmental activist, believing that the Care of Creation impacts all facets of social justice, it is with humility that my name has been submitted for Social Justice Member at Large for the National Episcopal Church Women’s Board. Previously I served on our Diocesan Outreach and Social Justice Committee, worked in Youth Ministries and Camp Ministries as Diocesan staff. Currently I am on the Earth Ministries Board (Washington chapter of Interfaith Power and Light), and Sierra Club’s Upper Columbia River Group, seeking to right historic wrongs regarding the Columbia River and the Indigenous Tribes in Canada and the United States. I have testified at multiple hearings from Beyond Coal Campaign, Clean Water, Women’s March, faith community’s role in fair housing, Environmental Lobby Day in Washington DC and our own state. My background includes exploring health through our foods, how social justice impacts health opportunities, equity, with a lifelong commitment to service. I am wrapping up my term as Province VIII ECW President, previously having served on the NECW board as rep for Province VIII during which I served on the worship and social justice committees. At my home church, I serve on the outreach committee and manage an outreach ministry of hospitality and welcome, connecting to various members of the wider community who come into our building in search for ‘something’. Proud mother of three amazing adult children who continue to teach me about justice, love and how we interface with the world.
