Shirley Thompson-Nelson was the Treasurer of the ECW Board, Diocese of New York, for several terms.

She was professional, competent and very committed such that she remained on the Board after her terms expired until a new Treasurer was elected.

She was the ongoing caretaker of family members when she served, but never allowed her personal duties to affect her commitment to ECW.

She has been a very active parishioner at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in the Bronx, New York. There she has been a vestry member, President of the ECW, assisted with UTO accounting, and has been named Senior Warden Emeritus.

Ms. Thompson-Nelson attended Province II meetings, Triennial and ECW’s annual Stony Point Conferences. She also held positions at the Diocesan level.
