Two, multi-part steps are required to ensure that your delegation has completed the proper paperwork for Triennial Meeting, which is part of the General Convention of The Episcopal Church.

1.  Certification:

a.  Each diocese may certify up to 4 delegates and 2 alternates. Each organization may certify up to 2 delegates and 2 alternates.

b.  The head of delegation should complete and submit the online certification form provided at the end of this page. Deadline: February 1, 2018.

c.  It is preferred that the electronic certification form below be submitted. However, a Word copy of the form can also be downloaded here and completed in Word, or, if necessary, by hand. It can then be returned as per the included instructions.

2.  Registration: (Registration for the General Convention will commence at the end of January 2018.)

a.  Provide a list of delegates and alternates who will be attending Triennial Meeting to your diocesan office because they need to be registered along with the bishops and General Convention deputies.

b.  Arrange for payment of the registration fees with your diocesan office. This payment should go directly from the diocesan office to the Episcopal Church Center in New York (DFMS). Please do not send payments to the ECW registrar or ECW treasurer. (For your convenience, a list of registration fees can be found below.)

c.  Reserve hotel rooms in Austin through your diocesan office. Bishops, delegates, and deputies stay in the hotel assigned to their diocese. Reservations must flow through a single source. How hotel rooms are paid for is handled on a diocese by diocese basis. Again, please do not send money for your hotel rooms to the ECW registrar or ECW treasurer.

3.  Print this page and keep a copy with your Triennial files.

4.  In the first six months of 2018, members of delegations will receive three “packets” of Triennial Meeting information. All Triennial Meeting material will also be posted to this website. In addition, periodic updates will be sent by email. If a member of your delegation does not use email please arrange to have someone share these updates with her.

It is essential that you report any changes in your delegate/alternate list to Beth Agar, the ECW registrar, promptly. That may be done by emailing her at certification@ecwnational.org. We ask that any packets or email received prior to a change be forwarded from the previous delegate to the new delegate.

Visitors and alternate delegates are invited and welcome to attend the Triennial Meeting. Registration of alternates is optional; however, registered alternates paying full registration will receive the same advance and on-site material that delegates receive. Visitors may register for a multi-day pass in advance or on-site. Visitors may also register in advance or on-site for a multi-day pass or a one-day pass. Alternates and visitors paying for day passes will receive a schedule and workshop information only.

Registration fees have been set by the General Convention Office as follows:

Bishops/Deputies/Alternates:  $600

ECW Delegates/Alternates:  $475

Visitors (Pre-registered):  $130

Official deputations, delegations, and bishops to Convention are registered through their diocesan offices. Individual attendees are invited to visit the General Convention website in January 2018 to register.

Other registration options are available on-site for the 79th General Convention: The registration area will open July 3, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.

Visitors who register at the Austin Convention Center:  $140 (for entire convention)

Youth Visitors 12-18:  $30 (for entire convention)

Visitors can register for only one day:  $50 (per day)

Access to visit the Exhibit Area only:  $15 (per day)

Visitor registration fees (with the exception of Exhibit Area only) allow access to all areas of the General Convention, including the visitor galleries in the ECW Triennial Meeting, the House of Deputies, the House of Bishops, legislative committee rooms and hearings, the Exhibit Area, and Worship.
