Many Paths, One Journey

Many Paths, One Journey is the theme of the 47th Triennial Meeting of Episcopal Church Women.  Just as we are traveling on many paths, this theme will mean different things to each of you.  On the national board, we have spent time over the past few months traveling, studying, and discussing  together what it means to us.  Some of you are on a path that will bring you to the Triennial Meeting in Indianapolis July 5 – 11, 2012, and others are on different paths.  But all of us travel together on the one Journey, the Journey towards being more Christ-like, the journey where we are continuing to Grow in Grace.

Peace,
Marcia

Kathrine Switzer ran and finished in the Berlin Marathon in 2011

In our first-ever ECW LiveChat ‘podcast’ Kathrine Switzer talks about breaking the barriers for women to run in the Boston Marathon in 1967 at the age of 20, and how her life has changed as a result.

Kathrine’s accomplishments resulted in her induction into the National Women’s Hall of Fame in 2011. Since 1967, she has worked to improve running opportunities for women in different parts of the world.

The inspiration for our first-ever ECW Triennial 5K Walk/Run, Kathrine believes everyone can benefit by walking or running as part of a daily exercise plan. Register today, and start walking!
